Comfortably driven at 60 km/h
Most people are time poor so when we do get the chance to get on the water and enjoy ourself, we don’t want to have to waste time going slower than we should because of our bimini!
The KingFisher is designed and tested to be able to be comfortably driven, with both wings in the open position, at 60kms /hr (32 knots), however this is limited to calm conditions. Like with all things on the water it is imperative that you drive to the conditions!
A very important requirement in the early development of the Kingfisher Eclipse. It needs to be a user friendly product and if it can’t be left in the open position when the boat is underway it would not be satisfactory.
We have tested the 2.8 m model up to 60 kph, however if you are heading into a serious headwind or in big swell you will need to slow down to compensate for the extra force on the bimini.
